Popims Screens cooperating with pre-computed images

A complete new way of organising spherical lenses is at the basis of Popims Technology.

The invention represents an enhancement of a well known product, usually called "lenticular screen", which is now in the public domain. It provides for a new way of organizing the lenses (they are now spherical instead of cylindrical) and constructing the interlaced image.

First benefit is that the screen may be much thicker for a given resolution and viewing angle, and that the image does not have any more to be stuck to the screen, or printed on the rear surface of it.

It opens a very wide market as, for the first time, 3D and animation printing become available to the public: a standard color printer is sufficient to obtain extraordinary effects.

The cooperation of a lenticular array comprising colored sub-pixels such as RGB is not an easy question.

Focusing on sub-pixels is the solution used by most those who tried to solve this problem, but its even more complicated, because there are number of rules that must be complied with in that case

The development team is conceiving and writing software for all Popims technologies.

Popims Animator is the first piece of software achieved. It is now on the market, and its development will continue in the future to make it the essential piece of software for 3D and animation purposes.

This software range was originally conceived for the Popims Screens, but prooved to be quite easily adaptable to the new multi-projectors technology, which will be done in the very near future.

A new piece of software is being developped in the field of 3D video aquisition and restitution.
